Rockaway Waterfront Alliance Earth Day & Beach Clean-up

Can you think of better way to kick-off this surf season? Join us on April 28th at Rockaway Beach for free environmental activities and beach clean-up after some surfing sessions!

Time: 12-4PM (Beach clean-up after 4pm till 6pm)
Location: Boardwalk @ Beach 59th St

Rockaway Waterfront Alliance will be hosting their 6th Annual Earth Day Rockaway Celebration where kids and families take part in free environmental activities along the Rockaway waterfront. Come join in the fun! Activities include: raptor demonstration, science shows, marine touch tanks, beachfront mock dolphin rescue, surf demonstrations, kite making/flying, plantings, bird watching, surf fishing, environmental arts projects, composting, biking and much more.

As part of the community, Surfrider Foundation NYC Chapter will be participating the event demonstrating our campaigns and will organize a group of volunteers for beach clean-up. The beach/boardwalk clean-up will take place after 4pm when the Earth Day event is ending.
