The Surfrider Foundation's Ocean Friendly Gardens program works to transform coastal landscapes into ones that are permeable and native, so as to mitigate flooding and polluted stormwater runoff, while fostering the local ecosystems. The New York City chapter focuses on the creation of rain gardens on coastal public and private properties, which collect and absorb stormwater, and utilize Northeast native plants for their many ecological services.
If you are interested in having Surfrider NYC install an Ocean Friendly Garden on your property, please fill out this

This will help us get a better understanding of the property and if it is a good fit for a new garden!
