Recap: World Ocean Day Event

We had a great time on Saturday, June 8 to celebrate World Ocean Day! We got the opportunity to partner with the Rockaway Film Festival to screen Tarpon, a restored film from the 1970s. The film's message about catch-and-release highlighted the increasing pressure on our ocean and fish at the time by sportsmen, tourists, and boaters.

Our vice chair, Kiera, also got the chance to present some of our program and campaign updates and all the fun events we have planned for the summer! You can look at our events calendar here

Thank you to Brothers for the food and Montauk Brewing Company for the drinks! And thank you to everyone who attended our event! We hope you enjoyed it and we look forward to seeing you at our events this summer!
