Reusable Bottles Bill passes in NYC

Another great win for NYC! Bill Intro 1161-A, a bill allowing people to bring their own reusable beverage containers in sports venues, has passed! This bill will reduce plastic pollution in NYC and allow New Yorkers to make sustainable choices.
This bill is very important for NYC as this year alone, we collected 725 plastic bottles, 2,866 plastic bottle caps and 1,439 plastic straws at our beach cleanups. Clearly, plastic has saturated our communities, environment, and our bodies. This will drastically help reduce plastic pollution.
Special thank you to NRDC and council member Abreu for leading this campaign. We can't wait to bring our reusable bottles to our local arenas.
